I'm officially an idiot-brain for not even realising your username is Lily - I promise I'll try & get the crediting right! LOL And you even named your dog Lily? Oh that's cute - very Kristin Chenoweth (she called her dog Madeleine Khan - ha ha)

And PLM is FINALLY coming out on DVD? I'm English, so I doubt we'll get it here, but I'm sure my darling girlfriend can be talked into amazon.comm'ing it for me. Ooh! Thankyou! I'm excited now!

Yep! It's coming out in a few weeks! I hope that your friend is able to get it for you!

I know Americans use the term 'girlfriend' interchangably - when we use it, it's in a more-than-friends-way LOL

I'm glad you're not scared off! For you to have iconned 'papa, papa, papa!' makes you instantly cool, in my book!

And you like Wicked, which instantly makes you cool ;)

Oh Goddess that Judy icon is pretty - and you liked 'Wicked'? I'm a 'Wicked' obsessive. Have seen Idina quite a few times in London, and have been out drinking with the London cast - it's been a great few months :)

Lucky! I saw Wicked in March, with Kendra Kassebaum as Galinda and Julia Murney as Elphaba.

Oh look at Liza - bless!! And Julia was great in The Wild Party with Idina. Don't know Kendra very well but a friend of mine is obsessed with her - I'm more of a Kristin Chenoweth OBC girl myself ;) (not that I don't love our London cast - I do)

You've met Liza? Lucky thing! I love Lorna, I've met her a couple of times. She has an amazing voice!
Emily: LIZA MAY!lily_mars on December 9th, 2006 01:17 am (UTC)
Awww - I like Kristin more than Kendra, too ;)

Yup! I met Liza in April. I was fortunate enough to meet Lorna last June and got to hang out with her for about half an hour. I met John Fricke there, and he took me backstage. We waited upstairs at a table that was right by her dressing room for about half an hour, and she kept popping her head out saying "I'll be right out!" Hahaha - she was awesome. She asked me how old I was (I was 15 at the time), and I guess since I'm so close to Vanessa's age, she kept asking about school and what I liked to do. LOL!

You met John Fricke?? Ooh - I think I'm more jealous of that than you meeting Liza. John is the author of so many Garland 'bibles' - LOL What was he like? Did you get to talk to him much about Judy? I'm so curious!

And aww - Lorna being so sweet with you like that doesn't surprise me at all. She's a real darling. I guess she would relate you to Vanessa, yes. Vanessa seems to have grown up into a real cutie, too (not surprising with the Garland/Gumm genes - ha) Last time I saw Vanessa she was about 11 I think, and onstage with her Mother & Brother at the London Palladium - I was weeping - I'm so pathetic. But its the site of so many Judy triumphs, isn't it!

With all this Judy stuff in common we should chat sometime - especially as you seem to be so cool about my sexuality - thank you - I still don't get a favourable reaction as much as I probably should. I should also warn you I'm a lot older than your average LJ-er too, at 31, not that I try to judge anyone on their age. I'm about to go off to bed as its really late over here in England, but feel free to e-mail me or add me to MSN IM if you have it - mystic_meg_gal@hotmail.co.uk - been nice commenting with you tonight & I still love those icons!

John was terrific - he talked about when he met Judy, and we just talked about her in general. We still check up on one another occasionally.

I correspond with Vanessa occasionally, and she's grown up a lot. She's 16 now, looks a lot older, and is definitely acting older. She's great, though.

It was nice talking to you, too! I'll try and IM you sometime soon!
